We're excited to announce that we have moved our international headquarters to The Dolfinger School building in the Portland Neighborhood. This strategic move will bring us closer to our urban dye garden, dyeScape, located at 1657 Portland Avenue. Closing the gap between the two spaces will allow ul to set sights on the expansion of our Louisville program and job opportunities.
“Our goal is to replicate our impact and holistic program to empower exploited women in Louisville,” says Colleen Clines, Co-founder & CEO of Anchal Project. “This move to Portland will bring our offices in close proximity to our dyeScape gardens where we lead natural dye training, employment opportunities and educational workshops for our program participants and local community.”
The Dolfinger school is owned by Gill Holland as part of the Portland Investment Initiative. Originally called the Montgomery Street School, it was built in the 1850s and last used as a school in 2013. Anchal currently occupies two classrooms on the second floor of the school building. A total of four employees will work out of the new space with plans for additional growth in 2017.
