We're pleased to announce Natalie Hugon is the newest team member at Anchal! Natalie joins the team as Marketing and PR Associate. Her experience in marketing, public relations and social media will help increase brand awareness for Anchal Project while continuing to engage our current customers and advocates.
We took a quick timeout with Natalie to discuss her move to Louisville and her excitement about working with Anchal on #designingchange:
What are you most looking forward to about working at Anchal?
I am most excited about being a brand ambassador and story-teller for the products and artisans behind the collection. There is so much opportunity to spread awareness for Anchal and I can't wait to get started!
How did you get into marketing and what's the best part of the job?
I originally studied broadcast news with the intentions of becoming a sports journalist. Shortly after graduation I completely switched directions, I landed a job at a small local magazine in Atlanta focusing on marketing and events - I never really looked back. I thrive off collaborating with a team and am energized by creativity. A natural problem solver, I am excited to take on new challenges and marketing allows me to do that on a daily basis.
It's hard not to find favorite Anchal products - do you have a style or color you're most excited about yet?
I can't wait to get my hands on the Large Pouch from the Living in Color Collection!
Being new to Louisville, are there any local haunts you've discovered?
Since moving here, I haven't really had time to explore much. I love bourbon and music so I think I am in the right place! I am open to suggestions for great food, local music and awesome drinks - give me some advice on where to go!
If you could design any change in the world, big or small, what would it be?
Improved social awareness. Sometimes we turn our attention off to what is happening in the world, or even in our own backyards. If every person made the conscious effort to educate themselves on a cause and/or volunteer a small portion of their time, imagine the progress we could make towards making the world a more beautiful place.
What are 3 songs that would make the cut if you had a soundtrack of your life?
Florence + The Machine: Only If For A Night
Black Keys: She's Long Gone
What's your favorite comedian or comedy show/funny movie?
Ellen DeGeneres - her show and her comedy will have me in tears from laughing. I think some of my favorite episodes are her Halloween scares. If you haven't seen them, you must go YouTube them now.
Best saying you've ever heard?
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Join us in welcoming Natalie to the Anchal Project team!
