COVID-19 Relief: Grocery Kit Donations

Just over a month ago, together we raised $3,530 to help sponsor relief grocery kits for the Anchal artisans in India. Over the past week our amazing management team distributed over 160 kits! The grocery kits include chickpeas, lentils, turmeric, oils & peanuts. The contents of a single kit can help sustain a family of 4 for over a month and a half.⁠ On average vegetables cost 30-40 rupees a day. With this kit, families can now save or use the extra funds on other important needs.

Through recent artisan conversations, we learned that the majority of Anchal artisans continue to be the sole provider for their families since last year’s nationwide lockdown that left many husbands without a job. Knowing the importance Anchal holds to the artisans and their families, the grocery kits were a much welcomed gift and provided immediate relief.
