I learned quickly that India is a beautiful, diverse country with a rich culture & deep history. There are many noteworthy people, traditions, sights & foods, and I'd like to share a few of my favorite things.
1. Sharing the Road
Whether you are traveling on foot, motorcycle, rickshaw, elephant or camel you get to share the road with the cars.
2. Colorful Clothing
The clothing is light, bright and beautifully detailed with glittery embellishments or embroidery.
3. The Marketplace
The chaos of the market is made easier by tiny, accessible stores with friendly merchants who often greet you with a smile & a cup of chai.
4. Bread Bread & More Bread!
Whether the bread comes in the form of roti, naan, Luchi or Chapati, it is made fresh & goes perfectly with every meal.
5. Vatsalya Children's Village
As you know, I loved Vatsalya & really enjoyed my time getting to know the children and participating in their daily activities - my favorite thing to date!
