In addition to grants and fundraising, Anchal is supported by individual donations from generous supporters like you!

Anchal is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible. We are grateful for gifts of all shapes and sizes! Here are some ways to give.

Artisan Sponsorship:

Sponsor a woman in Ajmer or Kolkata as she makes her transition from sex worker to Anchal artisan. Sponsorship covers part-time wages and benefits.

$700 (1-year sponsorship)

Materials:

Help us supply Anchal artisans with the recycled sari material and thread they need to make Anchal quilts + products.

$100 (100 saris)
$100 (thread for approximately 100 quilts)

Scholarships:

One of our long-term goals is to send interested Anchal artisans and/or children of Anchal artisans to college. Earmark your donation for ‘scholarships’ and your contribution will bring us closer to fulfilling this goal.

Tea Service:

Love the creamy goodness of chai tea? Share your love with the 30+ artisans assembled on workshop days.

Workshops:

Underwrite a half-day educational workshop for Anchal artisans and their families. Your donation pays for a workshop leader, workshop materials, lunch, tea, and hourly wages for artisans in attendance.

We’re always in need of volunteers interested in devoting time to Anchal in India and/or the United States.

India:

Anchal seeks volunteers to hold or participate in workshops for Anchal artisans and in collaboration with our partners on topics such as product development, education, physical education, health and well-being.

U.S.:

Anchal seeks volunteers to organize fundraising parties, assist in grant-writing and help staff events. Got other ideas? Send them our way!
