Shipping + Returns

SHIPPING

All orders are shipped through UPS or USPS. Items will be shipped Monday - Friday within 1-4 business days after the order is placed. Please note that order volume increases during the holidays and during our winter and summer sale periods. Orders may take longer to fulfill around this time of year.

    Once your order has been processed, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number.

    Local Pickup in Louisville, KY

    If you place an order and prefer to pick it up at our Louisville, KY studio, please select "pick up" instead of entering your shipping address at checkout. An email will be sent when your order is ready for pickup.

    All orders must be picked up within our business hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (EST) Monday - Friday or during our designated retail hours on Saturday. We will only hold your order for 5 business days, but if more time is needed please call our studio at 502-709-4377 to arrange a specific pick-up date.

    Missing or Lost Packages

    We are responsible for your new purchase until it is picked up by the shipping carrier. We will not grant refunds for any packages that are lost in transit, stolen or for packages that are marked as delivered but not received. As a small business and non-profit, we cannot absorb the cost of the shipping carrier's mistake.

    If a package is lost in transit, stolen, damaged or marked as delivered but not received, it is your responsibility to file a claim with the carrier seeking reimbursement. Have your tracking number, your order receipt and photos on hand as these will be essential in filing your claim.

    We cannot be held responsible for any incorrect addresses entered at checkout. To modify your order, please email info@anchalproject.org within one hour of placing the order.

    INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

    We offer international shipping through UPS and USPS. Your items will be shipped Monday - Friday within 1-4 business days after the order is placed. Depending on the country and the shipping method selected, it will take 1-4 weeks for your order to arrive.

    Please note that you are responsible for any additional customs fees, taxes or charges upon delivery and these fees are not included at the time of checkout. Fees and taxes vary by region.

     

    RETURNS & EXCHANGES

    Holiday Return & Exchange Policy

    We're happy to offer an extended return and exchange window for the holiday season. Any orders placed between November 1st and December 25th are eligible for a return or exchange through January 31st. Please email info@anchalproject.org to get started and have your order number on hand. All items must be in their original selling condition to be eligible for an exchange or return. No exceptions.

    We want you to love Anchal’s one-of-a-kind textiles as much as we do! All of the products we sell through our online store have met our quality and cleanliness standards. Please note that because our products are made by hand from vintage saris there are minor imperfections which we consider part of their beauty and charm.

    If however, upon receipt of your purchase you’re dissatisfied with the product, notify info@anchalproject.org within 14 days. We will work with you to arrange a prompt exchange or refund. After 14 days we cannot accept exchanges or offer refunds of any kind.

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and with the receipt or proof of purchase.

    You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item and will not issue a refund if an item is not received.

    The following are exempt from being returned:

    • Gift Cards
    • E-Gift Cards
    • Paper Goods
    • "Seconds" are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
    • Items purchased at pop-up events or in-person events are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

    If an item is not in its original selling condition upon return, we reserve the right to only grant a partial refund of up to 50% of the item's price. This may include: odor, pet hair, used or washed items, damaged items, makeup stains or stains of any kind.

    Refunds

    Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund within 1-2 business days. Original cost of shipping is non-refundable.

    If you are approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 12 hours to 1 billing cycle depending on your credit card company.

    Sale items

    All seconds and samples are final sale and are not eligible for returns.

    Exchanges

    If you want to exchange a product for another item, send us an email at info@anchalproject.org. We will respond with instructions on next steps.
