What do you think Anchal provides the community?
“They have provided the women the ability to stand on their own feet and meet their expenses on their own, without borrowing from others. When the other women and I come here to work, everybody gets along, and there’s a sense of community among the women.”
nita
Outside of Anchal, Nita enjoys spending time with her children and cooking the traditional Rajisthani dish, Dahl Pati.
What sort of change have you seen in the women involved with Anchal over the past year?
“Since joining Anchal, here they have learned some manners, how to talk to others, how to sit in a gathering, and care more about their appearance and dress. They have improved quite a lot.”
What did your life look like before Anchal?
“I was without money and used to be at home, worried about how to maintain the kids and get the bread and butter.”
shakuntela
Shakuntela is a loving mother of 3 children. She works in hopes of one day owning her own home and supporting her children.
What does Anchal give your family?
“Some hope, because I am earning money on my own, so I am much happier.”
What do you think Anchal provides the community?
“Anchal has given the community a service that allows them to earn something – if the work comes continuously, they will be happier than before.”
